The mergers & acquisitions (M&A) team at accountants and business advisers BDO in Southampton is celebrating after scooping three top awards at the 2017 Solent Deals Awards last week.

The BDO team won the Mid-Range Deal of the Year Award for the China Tool Projects/CT Automotive management buyout and the Large Deal of the Year award for Hendy Automotive’s acquisition of Lifestyle Group. A successful evening culminated in a well-deserved win for M&A managing director Helen O’Kane, who was named Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year, sponsored by law firm Moore Blatch.

Malcolm Thixton, head of BDO Southampton, commented: “The team has worked tirelessly over the last 12 months on a large number of transactions for some of the region’s key mid-market companies. These awards are great recognition of their contribution to the local market and these businesses on-going growth.

“I’m particularly delighted for Helen - her drive and efforts on what were very complicated deals was crucial to their success.”
