Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP in Southampton is urging businesses in the Central South to explore international business opportunities as part of this month’s UKTI Export Week which runs from May 18-22.
Arbinder Chatwal, head of India advisory services at BDO LLP, explained: “A significant number of mid-market companies in the Central South are expanding through export instead of staying in the comfort zone of the UK; a few have become truly international businesses.
“We are talking all the time to businesses throughout the region to encourage them to scale up using export as part of their growth strategy, and UKTI’s National Export Week is very helpful in raising awareness of the opportunities, and spreading confidence by celebrating UK business success abroad.”
BDO works closely with UKTI and is involved in a number of high-profile export initiatives. At the end of the month, the firm is hosting a roundtable discussion in Mumbai for CEOs, CFOs, and international business development heads of groups with India-UK interests.
