Baker Tilly in Southampton has appointed a new director in its restructuring and recovery practice.
David Smithson has over 25 years’ experience in both corporate insolvency and advisory work in the South Coast SME market. He has extensive knowledge across a number of sectors including hotels and leisure, care homes, education and engineering.
In his new role, Smithson will take appointments for company administrations, liquidations and other insolvency procedures as well as further developing Baker Tilly’s advisory and recovery services to businesses across the region.

He brings with him a broad range of experience in the insolvency field across a number of sectors.
