Southampton-based Acclaim Logistics has reported a 25% increase in volumes of parcel and pallet deliveries between the Isle of Wight and the mainland, following the launch of its new partnership with Red Funnel Ferries in April.

The high-speed shuttle service, which offers same-day and door-to-door delivery, is proving to be particularly invaluable for businesses operating on both sides of the water, facilitating the fast and efficient transportation of goods between Southampton and Cowes. Combined with Acclaim’s membership to the Palletways and APC networks, the express service offers Isle of Wight customers seamless distribution links to any mainland location and throughout Europe.

Mark Robinson, managing director of Acclaim, said: “The feedback we’ve received has been terrific, both from businesses and consumers, who have previously struggled with irregular-sized items that some carriers have refused to take. We specialise in Isle of Wight delivery solutions, so non-palletised goods, such as sofas, large DIY items and even sheds aren’t an issue for us.”

Jonathan Green, marketing and communications director at Red Funnel, said: “The door-to-door service is a particularly strong selling point for businesses and consumers, who previously would have had to drop and collect goods at one of the receiving centres. Acclaim has taken the stress out of transporting goods to and from the Island and with the festive season fast approaching, we’re anticipating current volumes will continue to grow.”

Acclaim Logistics is based in Southampton and has been operating for 23 years. Its membership of Europe’s largest pallet network, Palletways, and biggest independent parcel network, APC, means that is well-placed to ensure safe and secure delivery.
