Leading South East law firm Coffin Mew has announced three promotions in its latest round.

Emma Stevens and Ben Loosemore are promoted to senior associate. Both are recognised for their technical skills and have glowing reviews from clients. Jody Nash is promoted to head of operational HR in recognition of her operational HR expertise and sound judgement.

Stevens is a lawyer in the dispute resolution team and a member of the Technology sector. She advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial disputes including contractual claims, restrictive covenant disputes, shareholder disputes and debt recovery. She has a particular specialism in intellectual property disputes assisting companies and individuals to protect their intellectual property rights, predominantly against online infringements.

Loosemore is a lawyer in the real estate sector team, specialising in development. He predominately works with regional housebuilders and commercial developers in offering practical advice throughout the entire cycle of a development project; starting from site assembly all the way to planning, construction and plot sales. He also has a great deal of experience in Landlord and Tenant matters, working with either landlords or tenants on the grant, acquisition and renewal of commercial property leases.

Nash has worked for Coffin Mew for more than 14 years and has supported the firm through multi office relocations, merger and more than 30% growth. She is an integral part of the high performing HR Team, led by HR Director Liz Cheaney. Following her promotion Nash will be responsible for the day to day HR remit covering all the firm’s offices across the South Coast and Thames Valley. Liz will focus on the continued development of our strategic people proposition and positioning the firm for its next stage of growth.

Miles Brown, CEO of Coffin Mew, said:“We are ambitious for our clients and for ourselves and are restless to see both prosper and thrive. We recruit and retain the very best legal talent and Ben and Emma are great examples, both showing great senior client relationship expertise. Clients in the Real Estate and Technology sectors will benefit from their experience.

“I am proud of our exceptional HR Team, that supports the legal teams to deliver great results for every client. Jody has been an integral part of the team for more than 14 years, epitomises professionalism and has a critical role partnering with our growing teams and developing our talent.”

Liz Cheaney, HR director at Coffin Mew, said: “I am delighted for Jody, Emma and Ben- their promotions are very well deserved. I am proud of everything they have achieved in their careers with Coffin Mew. They are hard-working and all display exemplary commitment to the firm. These promotions are part of a wider strategy and help position the firm for its next stage of growth.”
