South: Join Mary Berry's daughter for inspirational debate
Women account for just 17% of business owners and only 10% of the female population in the UK are thinking about starting a business, but boosting female entrepreneurship could deliver as much as a staggering £60 billion extra, and if women started businesses at the same rate as men there would be an additional one million female entrepreneurs.
But the real question here is why? Could it be that it's harder to be an entrepreneur as a woman?
Can women have it all? Our guest panellist at the upcoming Women in Business Awards evening would say absolutely “yes” but perhaps just not at the same time. It’s just a different playing field.
Annabel Bosher started her business Mary Berry & Daughter before she had her family. Since then she has had three children and has launched with her mother Mary Berry’s Puddings and Cakes while her children were under the age of 11.
Come and join us to hear Annabel’s story and meet many other inspirational female entrepreneurs at the Women in Business Awards 2017 on September 21, at Oakley Hall Hotel, near Basingstoke.

“Let’s not just encourage women to smash through the glass ceiling, but empower them to build their own towers. Those with family commitments or a desire to do something different are perfectly placed to benefit if they do”
