South Coast: Webinar on future development of ports
Ports - Future Development and Expansion Plans - is the subject of a webinar sponsored by law firm BDB Pitmans and Built Environment Networking.
The webinar will focus on the expansion of ports and the surrounding brownfield sites around ports.
UK ports play a vital role in driving the UK’s economy – and there are a number of major development and regeneration projects which are set to happen around ports as we see a continued increase in imports and exports.
The organisers will be gathering those leading ports land, development and estates strategies to hear about their plans – with information on their vision, their future development projects and procurement opportunities.
The event will include short presentations from several key speakers and opportunities for live Q&A and interaction.
BDB Pitmans is sponsoring the webinar hosted by Built Environment Networking looking at “Ports – Future Development and Expansion Plans” on July 7 at 10am.
The panel will discuss major new developments/expansions planned across the UK, consider the future of ports as we see a continued increase in imports and exports, and review the industry in a Post-Covid and Post-Brexit world while also looking at opportunities and challenges across the sector as a whole.
Planning and infrastructure partner David Mundy from BDB Pitmans will be speaking on the topic of Freeports and associated legal issues including the need for and authorisation of infrastructure and associated planning issues and will be joined by chief executive of UK Major Ports Group, Tim Morris, Group planning director at Peel Ports, Warren Marshall and chief commercial officer at Port of Dover, Barbara Buczek.
