Digital communications agency Sideshow Group has expanded its expertise in digital marketing services by linking up with Widerfunnel, an agency headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, that generates most of its sales in the US.

Sideshow has offices in Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Oxford, as well as Sheffield and a London head office. Tony Hill, Founder of Sideshow Group, said the collaboration would enable it to deliver more commercially impactful work. "Their experience and expertise will be hugely valuable, and the cultural fit was clear from the outset. We can see a lot of opportunities to collaborate and can't wait to start working together,” he said.

Sideshow Group was advised by Lewis Silkin, Eight Advisory, Miller Thomson, and Grant Thornton. Widerfunnel was advised by Sequoia Mergers and Acquisitions, Miller Titerle + Company, and OakTree Accounting.

Sideshow Group was established in 2010 and comprises five complementary agencies involved in digital communications, marketing, user experience research and conversion rate optimisation. The company was ranked at number 230 in The Business Magazine's 2021 edition of the Solent 250 list of the biggest local businesses.

Widerfunnel was founded in 2007 and provides conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and insight-driven experimentation services. Its clients include Microsoft, HP, The Motley Fool, TaylorMade, and Dollar Shave Club.
