Lester Aldridge has appointed Dan Geddes as a partner in its banking and finance group to work across the fast track and insolvency teams, and Kevin Barnett as an associate in its employment team.

Geddes, started his legal career with Lester Aldridge, completing his training contract with the firm and qualifying into the banking and finance team in 2003. After leaving the firm in 2005, he worked in the credit, banking and insolvency industries, acting for a wide range of businesses to collect debts and, where necessary, commence court proceedings. On the insolvency side, he has advised insolvency practitioners, directors of distressed businesses, creditors, debtors and investors on all aspects of insolvency law and procedure. He re-joins the firm from Blake Morgan in Southampton, where he worked for nine years.

Barnett brings diverse experience in both the public and private sectors to the employment team. He has acted for high-street practices, local authorities and RSLs and has a good understanding of the different pressures and considerations that apply when providing advice to individuals, businesses and public bodies.

Michael Giddins, managing partner, said: “Dan’s appointment will further bolster our growth in the banking and finance sector. Kevin has significant public-sector experience, which will add to the employment team’s depth of expertise.”
