South Coast: Graham Meek appointed BDM at Portland

The south coast’s leading business recovery and cashflow specialist Portland has announced the appointment of Graham Meek as business development manager following a companywide expansion and recruitment drive.

Meek joins Portland having previously worked at a number of business recovery practices and within the banking and invoice finance sector.

Portland director Mike Fortune commented: “We are delighted to welcome Graham to the team at Portland. Graham comes with many years of hands on experience in business development and business advice work delivery, during which time he has gained professional qualifications to increase and complement his knowledge. This to us shows he is ambitious and has a determination to succeed which is very much inline with the work ethic at Portland and makes Graham a perfect fit for our expanding practice. Having previously worked for a number of well-known companies across the south of England, Graham is a familiar face and well known in the surrounding business community”.

An avid fan of movies, Meek describes himself as a ‘film buff’, guitar player as well as a part-time cigar aficionado.

Meek commented: “Over the years I have heard lots about the good work that Portland do. I am excited to join the team and looking forward to the challenges my new role will bring. My aim is to maintain the high level of service and standards that Portland business partners have come to expect from them. I also plan to continue to study in order to fulfil my ambition of becoming a qualified insolvency practitioner.”
