Law firm Blake Morgan has been recognised for its expertise in trademark and copyright law with an accreditation in a leading worldwide directory.
The firm’s intellectual property team has achieved a bronze listing in WTR 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.
The firm appears for the first time in the guide, published by World Trademark Review, which identifies the trademark industry’s leading lights in 70 jurisdictions around the world.
The guide notes that the creation of Blake Morgan by last year’s merger of the law firms Blake Lapthorn and Morgan Cole gives the new firm “greater geographical scope and a rich pool of cross-disciplinary expertise to draw upon”.
It goes on to say: “Clients – including Wiggle, Be Wiser Insurance, Supermassive Games and the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board – find all members of the team to be commercially astute, and always quick to offer proactive and expert advice.”
Blake Morgan’s intellectual property team has a wide range of expertise in areas including trademark creation and protection, intellectual property disputes and copyright.
Partner Jill Bainbridge, who heads up the team, is described in the listings as “sensible, commercial and well-versed in court and registry procedure”.
She said: “World Trademark Review is a highly-respected directory and we are proud to have achieved a listing in its pages for the first time.
“I’m especially pleased that WTR has recognised the strength, expertise and versatility that Blake Morgan has in its intellectual property team as a result of the merger.”
Blake Morgan has offices in Cardiff, London, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading and Southampton.
