The Women in Business Awards, which takes place on September 21 at Oakley Hall, near Winchester, is not only a chance to be inspired by the achievements of others but also to meet and connect with many other business leaders from the region.
This year we are hosting a panel of speakers from different industries who will share their insights, experiences, and wisdom when it comes to the impact of women in business on the future of the economy.
A focus on Women in STEM – Meet Adam Hale, EVP Sage People, who is passionate about getting women into tech.
“Why do we need more women in tech? Firstly, more women in the field would go some way to addressing the skills shortage we face. Some of the best people I know in technology and HR are women – not only that, but it’s an established fact that businesses with more diverse workforces do better".
Hale has spent over 30 years in the technology industry, most recently as Fairsail CEO since October 2013. Fairsail is a cloud software firm which became the fastest growing technology scale-up in the UK. The business grew 1,000% in three years until 2016 from £1 million to £10m revenue before acquisition by Sage plc for £115m in March 2017 to become Sage People. Sage People is headquartered in Reading and operates globally with a team of 200 in five countries.
