On Tuesday 23 November at 1pm, join The Business Magazine and Solent 250 listing's sponsors for a UK Economic Update webinar bringing expert insights to the Solent 250 member companies, their employees and guests.

Speakers Simon Hart, RSM UK’s International lead partner, and Tom Pugh, UK Economist, will discuss their views on the UK's economic position and will share their forecast for business into 2022.

Furthermore, they will reflect on the progress made at this year’s climate change Conference of the Parties (COP26) and the anticipated impact of future climate change initiatives on UK businesses across verticals.

Simon Hart, RSM UK’s lead International Partner, has been a speaker at Solent 250 events in recent years, giving his views on Brexit through to general geopolitical issues, including his entertaining Solent 250 presentation with RSM UK Chief economist Joe Brusuelas. As a Board member of the RSM international network, he works closely with the colleagues across the globe on initiatives to enhance the support and services we provide UK organisations that are expanding their business operations internationally.

Tom Pugh is RSM UK’s economist, providing insights aimed primarily at a middle market business perspective. Tom works closely with RSM partners across the UK, as well as with colleagues in the US to monitor how changes across the pond could affect the UK. Tom has worked for HM Treasury and, most recently, spent eight years at Capital Economics covering commodities and the UK economy in the wake of Brexit and the onset of the pandemic.

Solent 250 is an annual listing of the top privately-owned businesses (by annual sales turnover) that are based in the Solent region – defined as most of Hampshire (south of Basingstoke) and parts of Dorset, Wiltshire and West Sussex. To be included in the listing, businesses need to be independent, private companies, headquartered in the region.

The listing is created by The Business Magazine, using recognised data sources such as Companies House, and sponsored by HSBC UKIrwin MitchellRSM and CMA Recruitment Group,
