Six-figure Ricoh Arena investment unveiled

A six-figure investment at Ricoh Arena to refurbish one of the venue’s busiest lounges has been completed.

The 400-square-metre Legends Lounge at the home of Wasps has had a bespoke makeover thanks to three-way funding from Wasps themselves, Club Partner Purity Brewing Company, and catering provider Delaware North.

The new-look lounge coincides with the start of a new five-year deal for Purity Brewing Company as Wasps’ Official Ale Partner at Ricoh Arena.

The Pure Legends Lounge officially opened as Wasps Rugby recently secured their first win of the season against Bath Rugby. The lounge is now available as a quality offering for Wasps fans to enjoy relaxed hospitality at Ricoh Arena.

The lounge has been transformed into a modern space that echoes the Brewery’s clean, industrial feel along with traditional touches from Purity’s rural location. Complete with a refreshed bar, communal benches and a large projection screen, this venue can accommodate up to 250 proud fans who would like to enjoy a pre-match lunch.

Stuart Cain, Chief Executive (Venue) at Wasps Group, said: “Purity has poured a lot of effort into making the Pure Legends Lounge a standout feature for both Wasps supporters on matchday and those visiting the venue for conferences and exhibitions.

“Having companies such as Purity Brewing Company and Delaware North investing in the Club and the venue is a massive vote of confidence, and reinforces our strong presence within the region’s business community.

“The Pure Legends Lounge forms part of a lot of our supporters’ pre-match rituals, and while we have a new-look team on the pitch this season, it’s also great to be able to give them a new look to enjoy off the pitch as well.”

Purity Brewing Company’s latest investment at Ricoh Arena comes after the company first partnered with Wasps back in 2015 to supply a range of their multi-award-winning beers to the venue.

Paul Halsey, CEO & Co-Founder of Purity Brewing Company, added: “We are incredibly proud to see the launch of the Pure Legends Lounge at Ricoh Arena. It has been the result of a combined effort to help improve the overall experience for Wasps fans on matchdays and provide a best-in-class experience for any other visitors to Ricoh Arena.

“We strived to keep the local gastro pub feel that we loved, but also wanted to bring a fresh look to the space that we think fans are going to enjoy. We’re delighted to be sharing even more of our great beer with the Wasps faithful and I can’t wait to watch the squad Dai Young and his team have built over the summer.”
