Eastleigh-based pump manufacturer and plant hire company Selwood has opened a new pipe stopper centre in London as part of an ongoing investment programme. The facility is located at the company’s recently opened multi-million-pound solutions centre in the capital that gives customers in the south and central regions quicker and easier access to pipe stoppers. The stoppers are inflatable, re-useable bungs used for blanking off pipework, often as part of an overpumping operation.
The company said customers reduce costs and the time spent on paperwork. It’s the second stopper centre set up by Selwood, which is ranked 50 in The Business Magazine's 2021 edition of the Solent 250 listing.
Keith Maddocks, Manager at Selwood’s London solutions centre, said: “This new addition is part of Selwood’s ongoing and growing investment in products, ancillaries and training so that we can offer a comprehensive, convenient and seamless service to our customers. It helps ensure that our skilled, trained team meet the needs of each customer with the minimum of fuss.”
