David Staddon, joins as an account handler from Higos Insurance Services, having worked in insurance for 11 years, with experience across personal and commercial products. His past roles include, customer services, administration, underwriting, account handling plus senior posts. CII qualified, Staddon is working towards his Dip CII and ultimately plans to attain ACII status.

He said: “I enjoy account handing and my role is to support the team whilst increasing my own knowledge of different insurance products. I'm looking forward to meeting new people with all the associated opportunities.”

Staddon is about to buy his first house with his partner Holly. A keen fitness enthusiast, he has completed both the Bournemouth full and half marathons for charity.

Nick Magee, has joined as a trainee account executive from Alan & Thomas Insurance Group. He most recently spent a year as a commercial insurance adviser for SMEs. Qualified to Diploma level Magee is working towards ACII.

He added: “I shall be building a high-level of knowledge which will allow me to assess complex risks with confidence, knowing that I am providing clients with the best advice. In time, I would like to manage my own client portfolio and set up a department which focuses on a niche product or area.”

Magee also likes to stay active as well as following worldwide current affairs, especially relating to the economy and how it affects both the industry in which he works and clients.

Ryan Jupp, director AOIG, said: “I am delighted to welcome David and Nick they both bring extensive experience which is a great fit for all areas of our business, working with people seeking cover for everyday personal requirements, commercial risk management or bespoke schemes. We pride ourselves on an efficient, customer-focused, jargon-free approach to work, which has led to strong partnerships with clients.”

A top 75 UK insurance brokerage and one of the largest privately-owned and operated insurance brokers, AOIG was founded in Bournemouth in 1993 by managing director Ian Penfold, who wanted to present the local business community with an independent alternative to established high-street brokers.
