The Lawyer’s UK 200 Independents report has recognised Pitmans, the legal firm headquartered in Reading and with offices in London and Southampton, as 1 of 7 best-performing firms. The Lawyer also acclaimed the firm as a “trailblazer” and said: "Pitmans was one of the biggest risers last year". The accolade is a result of a 25% increase in revenue per lawyer. Pitmans featured overall in position 118 in the top 200 report, which is based on revenue, number of staff and additional benchmarking metrics.
John Hutchinson, managing partner, commented: “The accolade is largely due to a key strategic move to drive efficiencies. Pitmans has invested in strengthening the management team and implementing new systems. Through streamlining working practices and processes our team has more time to focus on client engagements. We deliver City-quality advice at a regional price."
This April, Pitmans announced a double-digit year-on-year growth of 15%, with revenue totalling £19.1 million in the recently-audited accounts.
