Reading: Planning law seminar scheduled for June
Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy LLP has announced a planning law seminar to assist those involved in the property industry in understanding the impact of the election and implications for planning law and regulation.
The seminar will be held on June 8 at the firm’s Reading office and will run from 4.30pm until 6.15pm, followed by drinks and light refreshments.
Planning law is complicated and the election is likely to result in further changes in this area of law. To add an extra dimension to this presentation our guest speaker is Anna Sabine, director of Meeting Place Communications, a leading public affairs company. Sabine will address the seminar with a topical presentation on post election issues entitled:
• The Body Politic – reading the election entrails
Other topics to be covered are:
• Implications of the election and possible change of Government on the Planning Regime
• Update on recent Planning Law including:
• Community Infrastructure Levy, “S106 and all that!”
• GPDO amendments, new UCO C4
• Duration of permissions
The seminar will be led by Blandy & Blandy planning partners Karen Jones, who specialises in planning and environmental law, and Simon Dimmick, a leading planning law expert. Guest speaker is Anna Sabine.
Jones commented: “The property industry and all those involved will be affected by a change of government. It is a very important time for people to understand the potential changes and how they will be affected. It is with great pleasure that we host this event and we are very much looking forward to it”.
