Reading office of accountancy firm James Cowper Kreston given a colour boost with artwork from local school
The Reading office of South-focused accountancy firm James Cowper Kreston has been livened up with eight pieces of colourful art contributed by a local school.
The artworks were produced with help from local artist Emily Kelly and students from the Abbey School and their teacher Liz Mackereth presented them to the firm.
Samantha Wooff, Personal Assistant at James Cowper Kreston, said they had approached the school to "add a splash of colour" to a canvas which had been blank since moving into the office.

"Since installing art the whole office has been discussing it, saying what a difference it makes. It’s also a great talking point, with it leading to colleagues discussing their thoughts and feelings towards art. We are very grateful to the The Abbey School for allowing us to display their artwork," she said.
One of the students added: "I’m happy and surprised to see something I’ve been working on in a club up on the wall of a big building. It makes me feel proud."
One of the pieces is a banner first created for the Thames Festival Trust’s Rivers of Hope competition in 2022, which saw The Abbey team selected to have their flag designs printed and displayed at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee pageant.
Another of the works called 'Joy' is a collaborative digital mural created by the students and Emily Kelly and first exhibited at The Royal Berkshire Hospital, where it will likely return in the future.
