Reading-based Vale & West has started 2016 with a fresh focus on the importance of providing the right workplace environment for its accountancy and business advisory staff.
The growing independent firm, with four new arrivals in recent months, has ensured its professional teams and specialists have suitable surroundings to encourage their endeavours with a major restructuring and restyling of its town centre offices.
“We took the opportunity, when taking on a new 10-year lease, to provide a working environment that befits the 21st century needs of our people, while assisting operational efficiency and customer service for our clients,” explained lead partner Jason Pyke.
Fresh telecoms and software systems have been installed and additional areas for breakouts, business meetings and refreshment purposes have been created. Overall, the office space has been tastefully styled, and opened up to give a bright, airy and modern ambiance.
“The benefits are now clear – improved conditions, a welcoming and more suitable professional environment. We have a 120-year heritage of traditional and ethical work values, but that is now enhanced with a workplace fit for the 21st century business world.
“We are looking to grow the practice but will retain our core values of close, knowledgeable and committed client support – the keys to our continuing success."
Key recent Vale & West appointments have included chartered accountant John Preston and tax specialist Sean Basketfield, and the additions of Hannah Chaffey and Luiza Whitfield to the business support team.
