Harrison Family Vets, a new and independent veterinary group, opened its first practice near Reading, in Woodley, after a £350,000 investment that has initially created eight jobs. The practice is planning to open practices in 75 towns and cities by the end of the decade.
The new practice, at The Point on Shepherds Hill, is headed up by Clinic Director Ana Bonache, who has spent the last 17 years at Pet Doctors in Woking.
The practice has been launched by Managing Director, Tim Harrison and Operations Director, Kristie Faulkner.
Harrison commented: "Only pet owners can join our team because you can’t fully understand our culture unless a pet is an integral member of your family, which crucially makes us all pet lovers first and foremost. We’ve also worked hard to create a customer experience that’s more akin to an Apple store, than a traditional veterinary practice. We don’t have a reception desk and instead, our front-of-house team have the autonomy to freely interact with our clients and their pets.
The next Harrison Family Vets practice will open later this summer in the Midlands, before the group expands into the North West towards the end of the year.
