Reading FC manager hints at duration of his stay at Championship club
Reading FC manager Paul Ince has hinted that he will be in charge of the club until the end of the season at least.
The Royals coach was appointed on an interim basis in February while the Berkshire club looked for a permanent successor following the departure of Veljko Paunovic.
Ince's comments in a press conference before the defeat to Milwall implied that he would be looking to remain at the role until the end of the season.
He said: “I don’t want the next 12 games that I’m in charge of to be basketball matches where we attack, and they attack. It’ll give me a heart attack.
“It’s great that we play entertaining football but we’re in a situation where we need to get some wins and we can’t afford to think ‘they attack we attack, we have the strongest attack so we should score more goals.'”

The former England captain was appointed in February alongside academy manager Michael Gilkes.
Alex Rae has since joined the club as assistant manager while Mikele Leigertwood has joined the first team coaching staff after stepping up from his role as Under-18’s manager.
Ince has overseen two games so far which include a 2-1 victory over Birmingham City in his first game in charge, and a 4-1 defeat to his former side Blackpool last weekend.
Reading FC lost 1 - 0 away to Milwall at the weekend and currently sit five points above the relegation zone with a game in hand.
The Reading FC interim manager said in a previous interview that he was prepared for the title race going down to the wire.
“There is quality in the side and when you have that you'll always score goals and create chances.
“When you win games, the belief grows, it's like anything. The fans are so important. We're not going to win every game.
“It's going to go down to the wire, let me tell you that. We've got a nice little gap but teams still have to play on Wednesday night.”
