A new event series, Elevate, is launching in the Thames Valley this week, aimed at helping business owners, marketers and freelancers develop their brands.

Elevate is the passion-project of Reading business women and friends, Antonia Taylor, founder of SME comms consultancy Antonia Taylor PR, and content creator and Instagram success story Helen Perry, from the popular blog, Not About The Kids.

Together, they’ve designed a series of events and workshops, to enable other business owners and marketers go deeper into their brand, learn new ways to enhance their business’ profile and connect with other creative entrepreneurs.

As well as sharing their own expertise and experience of building their businesses and brands, they will draw on a pool of brilliant experts to provide hands-on, actionable tips to propel attendees’ businesses forward. With the first event taking place in Reading, the Elevate team plans to rolls the concept out across London and the Thames Valley early next year,

How to share your brand with clarity and confidence is the first Elevate workshop, on November 2, and will take place at Thames Lido, Reading. The sessions comprise:

Writing and taking photos to engage your audience on Instagram

Helen Perry, content creator @notaboutthekids

Making mini videos on your smartphone

Lottie Stevenson, filmmaker, Lottie Stevenson Film and Photography

Step in to your story: feeling good as the face of your business

Perry commented: “We live so much of our lives, and do so much of our work, online these days it can be easy to overlook the value of real life events and real life learning. As a full time mum returning to work after 7 years I have gained a huge amount from attending workshops, but they were nearly all held in London. I now hope to bring those same opportunities to people closer to home in Reading.”

Taylor added: “We spend so much time working in our businesses. Elevate is really about taking that time to work on your business – to develop new skills and ideas around how you can share your brand more effectively. Whether you’re a small business owner or look after the brand within your business, we want to create a truly valuable experience and memorable day.”
