Reading: Chantrey Vellacott calls for feedback from owner-managed businesses
Thames Valley businesses are being urged to contribute to a major business barometer report.
Accountant and business adviser Chantrey Vellacott, based on Queens Road in Reading, is conducting a survey to capture the expectations and challenges of owner-managed businesses (OMBs) as well as their future strategies for growth, succession and expansion in 2015.
From the data collected, a comprehensive report will be compiled with details of the findings in an aim to inform OMBs of trends for next year.
Mike Tovey, managing partner at Chantrey Vellacott, said the OMB report will be a key indicator of what lies ahead for business owners now and in the future.
“We are eager for OMBs across a range of sectors and geographical locations to fill in the survey and help shape the report,” he said.
“The inaugural OMB report we produced earlier this year was extremely well received and we’re hopeful of attracting even more input for the second report.
“There has been plenty of room for optimism among the OMBs we speak to on a regular basis about the prospects for growth in the year ahead, but likewise we know the economy has not yet returned to pre-recession levels for all concerned.
“We’re interested to hear how businesses and business owners are performing compared to last year, and what plans OMBs are putting in place for the future."
The survey comprises 15 multiple-answer questions. All responses will be treated confidentially and all respondents will be entered in a draw to win an iPad mini.
