It has been a busy period for law firm Blandy & Blandy LLP’s corporate team.

The period began with the firm advising longstanding client Reading Transport in connection with its acquisition of Courtney Buses and associated companies, with the deal involving the entire fleet of 57 buses and a network of routes in the Windsor and Maidenhead area. This followed the earlier acquisition by Reading Buses of Newbury and District Bus Company, on which Blandy & Blandy also acted.

The firm also advised ACOEM Group SAS, a French-based engineering group operating in nine countries, on two multi million pound acquisitions. The first acquisition involved the purchase of DynOptic Systems Ltd, a specialist manufacturing company that designs and produces a range of continuous emissions monitoring sensors and instruments. The acquisition includes the subsidiary business, Tunnel Sensors, a world leader in tunnel atmosphere monitoring equipment.

Nicholas Dal Sasso, CEO of ACOEM Environment, highlighted the importance for more proactive and integrated environmental solutions saying: “The combination of new technologies, access to hyperlocal information and higher expectations from citizens will dramatically change the way we measure air quality in the coming years.”

The team also advised the ACOEM Group on the acquisition of Air Monitors Ltd, which represents many of the world’s leading environment technology manufacturers and is recognised by leading government and industry bodies.

Fabien Condemine, ACOEM CEO, commented that the group look forward to strengthening its market presence and accelerating growth plans through the acquisition of the company. The acquisition pushes the ACOEM Group turnover to more than 100 million Euros and 750 employees in nine countries.

In October Blandy & Blandy acted for Skellerup Holdings, an Auckland-based company listed on the New Zealand stock exchange, on its acquisition of Hampshire-based Silclear Limited for £3.1 million.

The firm’s corporate team is currently working on the reorganisation of a French-owned group, operating across Europe.
