Reading: Blandy & Blandy to host GDPR workshop for charities
Chief executives of Reading-based charities and other local voluntary organisations are invited to a workshop on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) hosted by Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy LLP in partnership with Reading Voluntary Action.
The morning workshop will take place at the firm’s 1 Friar Street offices on Wednesday July 18.
Partner Nick Burrows, a specialist in advising clients in the charity, education and third sectors and an expert in commercial law, will answer questions from guests on GDPR and what the new regulations mean for their organisation. He will also touch on several other unrelated areas.
GDPR was a hot topic at Blandy & Blandy LLP’s popular 2017 Charities Seminar, which welcomed nearly 100 guests at Green Park Conference Centre. Alongside Burrows and fellow partner Debbie Brett, speakers included Clare Pelham, chief executive of the Epilepsy Society, and Matthew Lock, head of corporate partnerships at Samaritans.
