QUAD Systems have confirmed they will open facilities in Milton Park, Oxfordshire.

The Oxford move is the first UK premises secured by the Switzerland based, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) specialists. Milton Park management have also confirmed plans to increase lab space at the park.

The Swiss company, whose headquarters are located in Zurich, has signed a lease for occupation of 127-17 Olympic Avenue as part of its plans for European expansion.

QUAD Systems’ new premises at Milton Park comprise 2,940 sq ft of high-quality laboratory and office space to accommodate for their specialisation in NMR product development. Additionally, the space will feature dedicated ‘showcase’ laboratories, enabling the delivery of product demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.

Jeremy Lea, Commercial Director at QUAD Systems, said: “The flexibility offered at Milton Park to accommodate future growth, in addition to its access to talent from world-leading universities and the wider Oxfordshire life science cluster, made it an ideal location for us to begin our journey in the UK.

The Park’s excellent amenities alongside its plentiful green open spaces make it a very pleasant and attractive place to come and work. We look forward to growing and nurturing our team here over the coming months, while at the same time getting to know the wider Milton Park community.”

With decades of combined NMR experience, QUAD Systems works within a network of highly-experienced partners across the globe, providing new, innovative solutions with outstanding performance for demanding applications in NMR spectroscopy.

Detection technology for this spectroscopic process has proved to be an invaluable tool in the scientific and medical industries with a wide range of applications including forensic science, food nutrition and the detection of explosives. QUAD Systems’ mission is to realise the potential of NMR spectroscopy, by providing solutions to complex technical problems with their industry-leading technology and increasing its accessibility to the wider market through low customer costs.

Tom Booker, Commercial Manager, MEPC Milton Park, said: QUAD Systems’ dynamic, innovative and globalist approach to science and technology makes them a great fit for Milton Park.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome QUAD Systems to our community. We feel privileged that they have selected Milton Park as the location for their first premises in the UK and look forward to being part of their continued success.

“Our development team is busy working on plans for additional high-quality laboratory space at Milton Park - we look forward to revealing more on this very soon.”
