Carrington West is looking to hire 20 new recruitment consultants to join its six specialist teams based at its Portsmouth offices, with 10 vacancies immediately open.
The company is celebrating 10 years since it launched in 2011 and has seen impressive year-on-year growth to reach its sixty-strong staff and £34 million turnover. Many recruiters have faced a tough year as the pandemic brought many sectors to a standstill, but Carrington West continued to expand its consultant and shared services teams throughout 2020.
James Fernandes, Carrington West managing director says, “We understand that our employees are the key to driving our ambitious growth plans. As the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we made a very deliberate decision to focus firstly on our employee health and wellbeing, but also on learning and development as a tool to help build the personal and business resilience and agility needed to operate “business as usual”. Our employees’ appetite for knowledge and self-improvement, especially during the first lockdown, was inspiring and as a result, we are in the position to be able to continue to increase our foothold in our key vertical sectors and broaden our service offer. To do this we need more people and resources.”
Co-founder and director, Simon Gardiner adds “Hiring so many new recruiters in a short period of time is a conscious decision we have made to push ahead with our plans. There is a clear market demand for the services we offer and now is the right time for us to bring new talent into the fold to meet this demand. We have a robust training plan and offer a clear and defined career development plan for all new consultants regardless of their experience level.”
Carrington West is a Solent 250 and Recruiter Hot 100 company, awarded Investor in People Gold status, an active member of REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) and is a Disability Confident employer.
