Luxury boating firm Sunseeker, HQ'd in Dorset, has disclosed its product development intentions for the next several years as it begins the boat show season with over £600 million in orders (which is equal to two years of the company's annual turnover). The firm's product selection will also be expanded to 22 models, with the introduction of 12 new yacht types before 2025.

The high-end yacht specialists have spent more than £35 million in infrastructure, people and goods in the last three years and have employed a record 100 new apprentices for 2022. They've also pledged an additional £40 million for new product development and manufacturing capacity. It's a company on the rise, that's for sure.

Sunseeker CEO Andrea Frabetti disclosed information on the yard's latest modules during the plan's unveiling. There's the Ocean 182 (now in production), the Ocean 156 and the Ocean 460 coming up. Add these to the recent the 131 Yacht reveal and there's plenty going on. Demand for the company's bigger models has been increasing year on year, with this being a major driving factor behind the company's strategy.

Sunseeker has three models on show at this year's Monaco Yacht Show: the 88 Yacht, the 90 Ocean and the 116 Yacht.

CEO Frabetti had this to say: “We have made significant investment in new product development and our facilities and people, and this has clearly paid off. We now have one of the strongest forward order books we have ever had. We delivered our 2019–2021 strategy and have a comprehensive plan for 2022–2025, which will see record investments and some of the most exciting product launches the market has ever seen.”

Sunseeker's Sales and Marketing Director Sean Robertson said: “It was great to see the return of the Autumn boat shows last year and we are excited to be back once again meeting clientele in the heart of Monaco for what promises to be another spectacular show.”
