Reading-based law firm Boyes Turner is strengthening its relationship with The Katie Piper Foundation as two partners on its personal injury team, Kim Milan and Claire Roantree, prepare to take part in a four-day fundraising Sahara Trek next month.

Their team is called: 'We thought you said dessert'.

"The Katie Piper Foundation’s work is essential in helping to rebuild the lives of survivors of burns and traumatic scarring," said Kim.

"Our team shares a mutual passion and energy for this work, and we have forged a really fantastic relationship with them over the last year."

She added: "Working with clients with these kinds of injuries, we see first-hand how it impacts lives. This really fuels us in helping survivors through the legal process to achieve financial security for the future.

"Claire and I have been working hard to prepare for the Sahara Trek – long hours of training and mindset prep – and are truly grateful to everyone who’s supported The Katie Piper Foundation fundraise so far."

The Boyes Turner team has already raised £3,360 for the charity, following a successful fundraising event at Valpy Street Bar & Bistro earlier this month.

The firm was also appointed to the charity’s first legal panel last April to help survivors of burns and traumatic scarring seek specialist legal support and advice, as well as signposting its clients to the charity for rehabilitation support.

Established in 2009 by Katie Piper OBE, bestselling author, international speaker, and TV presenter, the charity aims to find a brighter future for survivors of burns and scars.
