Stagecoach in Oxfordshire has announced the appointment of its new operations director, Martin Gibbon.
With almost a decade in the industry, Gibbon joins from Stagecoach’s Exeter depot, where he was instrumental in delivering a number of service enhancements that resulted in an improved quality of delivery across the city, while building and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the community.
Gibbon will report into Chris Coleman, Stagecoach managing director, who said: “We welcome Martin to the team at an exciting time. We have some fantastic business objectives to meet over the next few years and believe that Martin’s skills will help us meet those.”
Gibbon has worked in several Stagecoach operations throughout the country, before making his move to Oxford.
He said: “I am delighted to be taking up this post in Oxfordshire. Our services play a key role in delivering connectivity and providing access to education, training and employment as well as enabling social inclusion and make a significant contribution to the local economy. This is an exciting challenge for me and I am looking forward to meeting our customers and our people over the coming weeks.”
