With the financial markets in turmoil and stock markets rising and falling faster that a roller-coaster it may appear a little odd to be speaking of stock market floats. Yet with banks increasingly reluctant to lend and the belief that the market will at some point pick up again many businesses are looking again at the stock markets as a way of raising capital.
The PLUS quoted market is London’s newest fully authorised stock market providing ambitious, high growth businesses wishing to raise capital with an alternative to the AIM market.
Operated by PLUS Markets plc it provides an all important liquid marketplace in which companies can develop and grow - yet it still remains relatively unknown.
Thames Valley accountants and business advisers, James Cowper, together with St Helen’s Capital, have joined with the PLUS stock exchange to host a seminar to introduce PLUS, explain how a listing can be achieved, and to outline the many reasons for choosing PLUS.

Sue Staunton, a partner and head of James Cowper’s Technology team, said: “This seminar should be a must attend for any company looking at a possible future floatation. Stock market floats do not happen over night and businesses are beginning to plan now. Ambitious and high growth companies will soon realise that the reasons for floating on PLUS soon add up.”
To register for this seminar call Rachael Kemp at James Cowper on 01865-200500.
