The Oxford Wine Company has beaten off fierce competition to win the Regional Wine Merchant of the Year 2015 award for the fourth time.
The company was chosen from a shortlist of top merchants by the International Wine Challenge.
Ted Sandbach, group managing director of The Oxford Wine Company and The Oxford Wine Café, was presented with the prestigious award at a glittering ceremony on Thursday night held at the Hilton in Park Lane, the equivalent of the Oscars in the wine world.
He said: "I am delighted that we are again recognised by the industry. I was especially pleased that, from a conversation with one of the judges, they commented on the depth and quality of our range, the sound advice received from our staff to their mystery shoppers and the fact that we are continuing to push the boundaries with our wine cafe concept."
