Real-estate and private equity company Dominvs Group is planning a new four-star hotel in Oxford.
As part of its growing hospitality portfolio, the Group wants to develop a city-centre hotel as part of the £30 million city regeneration project.
The investment company owns the vacant Cooper Callas site on the corner of Paradise Street and St Thomas’ Street and plans to build a 150-bedroom hotel along with a restaurant, deli and new microbrewery.
Oxford’s centre is being redeveloped with Westgate becoming a new shopping mall complete with a John Lewis flagship store and a new five-screen Curzon cinema. It is scheduled to open in autumn 2017.
The hotel plans are expected to provide 280 construction jobs, along with 80 permanent hotel positions once completed. Formal plans have yet to be submitted to Oxford City Council.
