New partner expands accountant RSM’s Thames Valley practice

Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has appointed Derek McAllan as a partner to grow the firm’s accounting and advisory team in the Thames Valley.

Derek has more than 30 years’ experience in the Thames Valley market, including 17 years as an audit partner in a big 4 firm. He has specialised as a business adviser to firms in a variety of sectors including life sciences, private equity, automotive retail and owner managed.

Derek has worked on secondment as a consultant accountant with a major clearing bank in the Thames Valley and also held a senior finance position with a multi-site motor retailer and property developer. Derek has extensive experience of working alongside corporates and their advisors, advising on flotations (NASDAQ, LSE AIM), acquisitions, disposals and private equity investment. He will be based at RSM’s Basingstoke office.
