Hampshire-based MindWorks Marketing’s online conferencing team has helped Suzuki GB’s motorcycles division to achieve outstanding success at its first online annual dealer conference, with record pre-orders for Suzuki’s new model Hayabusa motorbike launched on the day.

Record pre-orders for Suzuki’s new model Hayabusa motorbike – launched at the event

The motoring giant’s annual conference, which includes a spectacular gala dinner and awards ceremony, is an important date each year for hundreds of Suzuki dealers from across the UK. After months of video calls, meetings and online conferences, this event used the new Hayabusa theme of ‘Ultimate Performance’ to deliver something special at the peak of the national lockdown.

Led by Paul de Lusignan, director motorcycle, ATV & marine, the forward-looking day was about embracing the positive impacts of changes due to covid, capitalising on advances in future-ready technology, new consumer buying behaviours, team-building and communication.

Innovative, digital initiatives were launched at the event, showcasing the enjoyment and social side of buying a new motorbike via personal video walkarounds and online chat. The ‘buzz’ of being in an audience at a live event was recreated through fun interactive tasks, punchy presentations from speakers around the country, live polls, and an exciting online award ceremony.

MindWorks managing director, Michelle Leggatt said: “We are seeing an explosion in demand for our delivery of immersive virtual events, either through bespoke MindWorks solutions or by helping clients to select the best platform out there that integrates with their existing systems and producing powerful content for them.

“User experience is key, along with one of the huge benefits of the virtual world – robust back-end analytics. This allows you to see who your visitors are, how they interact with the event and to assess the success of your event.

“For this event, we used the Suzuki Connect webinar software platform which provided an excellent selection of tools, as well as performance analysis for each element of interactivity and speakers.”
