Mestec, the Bracknell, Berkshire based manufacturing software vendor has been named as a finalist for the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2020.

Mestec’s cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software has been shortlisted in the Vertical Market Solution of the Year category.

The award winners will be announced on the 19th March 2020.

Jeremy Harford, CEO of Mestec, said: “I’m very proud of the team and excited that we have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. Our software delivers real labour productivity benefits to our customers and it’s great to see that our cloud-based, low-cost solution is already a winner in the judges eyes having made the shortlist.”

Mestec’s could-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software drives factory performance by focusing on the key manufacturing business pressures which are: people, time, cost and compliance.

By eliminating spreadsheets, paper-based operations and manual data collection, Mestec MES delivers improved performance driven by dynamic production planning, automated shop-floor data collection and real-time performance analytics.
Major customers in the UK include companies from across all manufacturing sectors, with companies as diverse as Siemens, Thales, Martins Rubber and Higgidy Pies using the improved insight into shop floor data to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

The European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2020 are the leading pan-European awards for channels, ISVs, developers, Solution Providers, Systems Integrators and their vendor and distribution partners.

John Garratt, Editor of IT Europa, who heads the judges' panel says: “I have been particularly impressed again by the level of innovation shown in many of the projects. This shows that there has been some original thinking by IT providers of all types as to how to really engage with customers’ issues and this must be a good thing at a time of increasing change and uncertainty. The battle for more productive use of technology is well understood and new methods and integration levels are certainly emerging.”
