McLaren confirms plans to enter Indian retail market
Woking-based supercar brand McLaren Automotive has confirmed its plans to enter the Indian market, opening its first retail store in the country in Mumbai in October.
The move into India is part of the brand’s larger global expansion plans as it targets to grow its already-established presence in the Asia Pacific region.
Paul Harris, Managing Director of McLaren Automotive in APAC and China, said: “We welcome Lalit Choudary of McLaren Mumbai to the expanding retailer network here in the Asia Pacific region.
"India remains an important market where our fans and select clientele can enjoy the best of McLaren in Mumbai. Looking ahead, we will shortly welcome the Artura to India, the all-new high-performance hybrid supercar.”

The manufacturer is planning to offer its entire range in India, including the Everyday McLaren GT and hybrid Artura (featured above). Its core range includes the 720S, available in Coupe and Spider variants, as well as the newest edition in the LT family, the 765LT Coupe and Spider.
An event commemorating the opening is set to be held in the second half of 2022.
