Malvern tech company secures boardroom talent to drive growth

A Malvern-based technology company is aiming to double its turnover after appointing business strategists to help drive growth.

DeltaXML develops data comparison software which transforms the way firms find and process differences and updates in complex structured documents such as aircraft manufacturing manuals and pharmaceutical labelling. Many of the larger commercial, legal and technical publishers rely on DeltaXML in their editing and publishing procedures.

Now the company has recruited Bristol-based Boardroom Advisors to help devise product development and new market strategies for DeltaXML’s document and data comparison products.

The Bristol-headquartered executive recruitment firm will also be advising DeltaXML on a succession planning strategy.

Denise Finch, BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk’s regional director for Gloucestershire and Worcester, will be overseeing the work. She brings more than 35 years in commercial banking, with director level experience in business development.

Denise will be joined by her fellow BoardroomAdvisor Mark Thomas, a tech entrepreneur who has more than 20 years of experience running software firms. A specialist in content management systems and project management software, Mark has worked with brands such as Manchester United, Cardiff Airport and thinkBooker.

BoardroomAdvisors provides direct access to a talent pool of part-time executive directors for commercial, operations and CEO roles. It allows scale-ups, SMEs and their private equity backers to rapidly fill gaps in the management team, with no recruitment fees and a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.

DeltaXML’s CEO and founder Robin La Fontaine said: "We are very pleased that Mark and Denise have joined us. Their experience and knowledge is invaluable to us at this stage in our growth and more objective view adds a fresh stimulus to our board.”

Denise Finch, the Gloucestershire and Worcester’s regional director for BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk added: "DeltaXML has established a fantastic base to take the business forward. Our role will be to offer guidance to Robin and his team, avoiding potential pitfalls, as they scale-up the business."
