Maidstone's Nocturnal Pictures selected for investor programme
Nocturnal Pictures, a film production company situated in Kent, has been chosen to benefit from the Creative Enterprise 'Evolve' initiative, as one of the best creative screen firms in the UK ready for development finance.
Evolve is a platform created by investors in collaboration with the British Film Institute, Creative UK, and the UK British Angels Association.
Nocturnal specialises in action, horror and sci-fi films, operating as a self-contained corporation without any outside funding for any of its films to date. Being chosen for the "Evolve" programme puts the studio in a fantastic position to advance and start working on its raft of upcoming genre movies.
Nocturnal Pictures is looking to maximise the potential of its ongoing projects in light of the success of its first feature picture, the critically-acclaimed horror flick The Last Rite. A film which was acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films and is now being shown in cinemas and on streaming services across the world.
Leroy Kincaide is the founder and CEO Nocturnal Pictures. He had this to say about the selection:
"To be selected for this programme is a great opportunity for my company Nocturnal Pictures, as someone who comes from a low-socio economic background with no mentors or guidance, it’s an incredible opportunity to take Nocturnal Pictures to the next level and become the company I have always envisioned it being."
