Leading supplier of industrial laundry equipment Southern Contracts appointed by Saga Cruises

With the first cruise ship leaving Southampton last week since the lockdown last year, galley and laundry fit-out specialists, Southern Contracts announced its appointment by Saga Cruises to carry out a full service of its appliances aboard one of its newest additions to its fleet, in anticipation of its imminent cruise relaunch.

The Spirit of Discovery prides itself on providing the design, cuisine and levels of service one would expect in the world’s finest boutique hotels. She is the sister ship to The Spirit of Adventure, which are the only small ships built for the British market, offering a balcony for every guest and a choice of speciality restaurants.

Southern Contracts is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of industrial laundry equipment, catering and commercial cleaning equipment for offshore and marine, as well as onshore businesses such as care homes, holiday parks and schools.

Due to the laying up of all cruise ships over the past year, Southern Contracts was approached by Saga Cruises to carry out a full survey and service of its galley equipment to include ovens, refrigeration and all laundry equipment prior to them recommencing their long-awaited cruises.
