Kent-based English wine maker Gusbourne Wine is partnering with Ynyshir, the Two-Michelin-starred restaurant, for the first of its 2023 summer pop up chef series.

The series, which commences on July 15 2023, features a number of world-renowned restaurant partners who will serve, for one day only, a single lunch and single dinner service. Ynyshir, who are the first feature of the series (providing a seven course taster menu), specialise in fusing Welsh and Japanese cuisine.

Head Chef and Ynyshir Gareth Ward said: "Since my first visit to Gusbourne I have always thought that doing an event there would be spectacular. I love the brand ethos, and the location is just beautiful. We have championed their wines at Ynyshir for years, and find they work perfectly alongside our tasting menu. I can't wait to collaborate with the Gusbourne team and create something exquisite."

Alongside Ynyshir is returning Marlow-based restaurant The Hand & Flowers, the only UK pub to hold two Michelin-stars. The prestigious eatery will provide a four course taster menu on Friday August 18.

Executive chef at The Hand & Flowers Kieran Reilly said: โ€œSet in the stunning Kent countryside; the vineyard and the wines at Gusbourne provide an ideal setting and accompaniment for our menu; itโ€™s
always a delight for us to work with a team that like ourselves place such an emphasis on delivering a product that is uncompromising in its quality.โ€

Other names confirmed for the pop up series include The Sportsman in Whitstable. Booking for the series begins on May 1 2023.
