JetBlue adds second JFK to Gatwick service
American airline JetBlue has announced it is launching a second flight between New York’s JFK airport and London Gatwick.
This means the company now operates five routes between the US and UK, serving New York and Boston in the States, and Heathrow and Gatwick in England.
Travellers using the service will be able to connect to free in-flight WiFi and make use of 10.1” seatback TVs showing movies and shows on-demand and live TV.

The new route comes amid rumours of further European expansion for the company, fuelled by hints from JetBlue executives including an unnamed planning executive who, according to travel site AFAR, signalled that an official announcement about where in Europe the carrier will be flying next will be coming “very soon.”
JetBlue first started flying to Heathrow in August 2021, making the most of landing and take-off slots freed up by the disruption of the pandemic. It then made these slots permanent this summer.
The firm is not the only American airline to strengthen its presence at Gatwick this year. Back In September, Delta Airlines announced it will fly from the airport to JFK from April next year, returning to Gatwick after more than a decade away.
