Software solutions company IRIS Software has appointed accountancy and tax markets expert Jim Dunham as President.

IRIS Software Group states on their website that they provide businesses, schools and organisations with software solutions and services that make their operations smoother and easier to carry out.

Described as one of the UK’s largest private software companies, IRIS has supplied their software services to charities and other public sectors for more than 40 years and even won the ‘Best Covid-19 Response Involving Finance / Professional Services’ award last year.

On 8 February, IRIS announced the appointment of Jim Dunham as President and General Manager. IRIS portrays Dunham as a ‘seasoned executive in accountancy and tax markets’ and went on to outline his responsibility for the strategic leadership across IRIS North America.

Dunham will be bringing 25 years worth of experience from leading enterprise software companies across the public and private sectors, as well as applying his SaaS market expertise. Dunham’s most recent role was as President and General Manager of the TeamMate line of business for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Division.

CEO of IRIS Software Group, Elona Mortimer-Zhika, said: “He has a proven track record leading fast-growth businesses, entering new markets and creating enterprise-class software offerings. As we continue our expansion, we’re thrilled to have an executive of Jim’s calibre join the IRIS team and look forward to leveraging his vast experience to help our customers address their most pressing business challenges.”

Dunham has held a range of executive positions at a number of companies including SAP Labs, Siebel and Sybase. In addition to this, he was the CEO and founder of software company Nucleus Growth and before that he was President of the Cloud and Business Intelligence Division at ServiceSource.

Jim Dunham commented: “IRIS has experienced impressive growth in North America to date, and I am excited to join this talented team to build upon and accelerate this recent success. With over 43 years supporting accountants and CPAs, IRIS is uniquely positioned to provide an unparalleled level of customer service and support, combined with innovative solutions.

“My ambition is to help IRIS meet the considerable demands of accountants in North America for technology that empowers them to deliver impactful, value-add services to their clients. I look forward to working with the team as we continue to introduce innovation to the industry.”
