HSBC 6 figure facility helps Cheltenham photo & film production company fly high
Talented photography, film and production agency in Cheltenham, Still Moving Media, has secured a six-figure finance facility from HSBC UK to acquire and fit out its first premises, allowing it to grow its 12-strong team.
Still Moving, whose new, 6,000 sq ft industrial studio will open in Furlong Park in November, has used the funding to move its operations out of rented premises and create a modern workspace which will house the company’s office, photography and film studios and a cinema room.
The larger premises will allow the business to expand its team with the hire of at least three new members of staff in the coming months.
Established in 2010, Still Moving Media has five core teams: Production, Creative, Film, Animation and Photography. The agency has worked with high-profile organisations including Disney, Universal Studios, Café Nero and Superdry.
Spencer McPherson, Chief Creative Officer at Still Moving Media, said: “We are so proud of what we’ve achieved since starting the company 10 years ago and despite the current challenges posed by Covid, these new, custom studio spaces are testament to my incredible team’s hard work and dedication to our clients. We can’t wait to move into our first wholly owned premises where we can begin work on some new and exciting creative challenges. We are incredibly grateful to HSBC UK for its support during this time, especially our relationship manager Joel Dunning who made the process seamless for us.”
David Butler, Area Director, Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, HSBC UK, added: “Still Moving Media is a fantastic example of a business that has continued to thrive and grow during the coronavirus outbreak, helping its clients communicate creatively at a time of such uncertainty. We are delighted to support the acquisition of the new headquarters and look forward to seeing what Spencer and his team do next.”
As well as working with high-profile brands, the agency has photographed portraits of some of the most famous television stars, including Sir David Attenborough, Dame Judi Dench, Russel Brand, Graham Norton, Helen Bonham Carter and even Hillary Clinton. The pictures can be found here.
