Hotel excellence in beautiful Berkshire
Since the Active Hospitality acquisition of Easthampstead Park from Bracknell Forest Council in 2018, the crumbling out-dated building has been totally transformed with a £10 million refurbishment.
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, so too has Easthampstead Park’s regeneration been exciting and dramatic, especially for the local communities of Bracknell and Wokingham, who’ve been crying out for a venue of this quality in the area for years.
The Jacobean Style architecture is totally unique in this area and the property refurbishment has created much needed opportunity for local communities and local businesses alike.
Guests of Easthampstead Park can expect to enjoy the experience that an opulent hotel, event, restaurant, and conferencing destination in central Berkshire presents, all within sweeping and well-tended gardens and grounds.
The hotel now boasts over 90 plush bedrooms in standard, deluxe and suite configurations, and there is planning for more bedrooms to be added.
Conference facilities and meeting rooms (of which there are 11) have also been totally modernised and updated with all new audio/visual technology, air conditioning and furniture, all selected to perfectly complement the elegant business colour schemes and associated décor.
A brand-new Gym – the East Park Gym – has been a well thought out addition to the property. This is no small one-room hotel gym, but an expansive multi-room, fully equipped gymnasium offering fitness classes, yoga, personal training and much more. Situated within a newly repurposed outbuilding of the Mansion House, the gym has fitness workout spaces laid out both indoor and outdoor, and with over 1,300 members already signed up, has clearly been a big hit locally.
The addition of two full-service restaurants and a well-appointed bar has now firmly entrenched Easthampstead Park as both a focus for the local community, and as a sought-after destination on the national business and tourism stage.
Easthampstead Park is surrounded by 80 acres of parkland, formal gardens and lush woodlands featuring protected huge ancient redwoods, oaks and spruce. The Bracknell Forest Ramblers Route crosses the property and there is an abundance of local wildlife within the property boundaries including deer, pheasant, squirrels, a multitude of birdlife and much more.
Despite being located only minutes from both Bracknell and Wokingham the property has a secluded feel to it and there is a definite stately air to its surrounds.
With easy transport links to the M4, M3 and M25 Easthampstead Park is ideal for a variety of conferences, meetings, training workshops and team away days.
Weddings have been massively popular at Easthampstead Park since the hotel’s refurbishment and now with the easing of lockdown restrictions, enquiries and reservations are well on the rise for a range of different events and functions.
While the refurbishment works have now been completed there is still a scope of works in the pipeline to include a huge permanent marquee that can accommodate up to 600 people, as well as dry spa facilities to complement the hotels current offerings and services.
As Bruce Cave (Partner and CEO of Active Hospitality) succinctly summed up recently: “What we are doing is becoming part of the community with some real old-fashioned hoteliering.”
With the success that Easthampstead Park has attracted thus far, clearly the local populace agrees.
