Thames Valley Training & Development (TVT&D), which provides professional training and development courses, is hosting an open day for individuals looking to develop their career potential, as well as for organisations keen to boost the skills of their workforce.
To be held on September 19 from 1pm to 9pm, the event will provide further information about TVT&D's full range of evening, daytime and weekend courses starting this autumn.
Courses are taught by face-to-face instruction supported by practical work, and are offered in several areas including accountancy and business; technical IT; law; IT applications; and counselling. All courses are accredited by professional bodies such as Cisco, HP, Microsoft, ISMM, CMI and CILEx.
Managing director David Podger said: “With the summer months over, this is a key time for people thinking ahead to the next year and where they would like to be going with their jobs and careers. Our open day will help to inform them of the range of professional qualifications now available locally – and of how easily accessible they are at our town centre location at Bucks New University.
“Many of our courses are provided as evening classes which enable people at work to study. We also deliver some courses at the weekends. All TVT&D students have access to certain University facilities including the library and IT suites, not to mention our excellent tutors and instructors with their extensive industry experience.’’
TVT&D’s courses also offer possible routes to higher education academic qualifications through the University, so that longer-term study and career options are also available.
The event takes place in the Gateway building at Bucks New University’s High Wycombe Campus, and instructors and tutors will be available to discuss options and to help individuals understand how they can gain qualifications to advance their careers.
