HMT LLP, led by partner Mark Lucas, tax director Holly Bedford-Bell and director Peter Wear, advised on the management buyout of UK’s leading identity management consultant, Oxford Computer Group.

Oxford Computer Group delivers comprehensive solutions to a variety of identity, mobile device management, cloud transformation and information protection challenges. Its services include design and development of innovative IT products, consultancy, implementation and support, and it works with a wide variety of small, medium and large organisations in both the private and public sectors.

Oxford Computer Group is a Microsoft Gold Partner and has recently been awarded 'Microsoft Partner of the Year'.

The MBO has enabled the UK management team to run and own the business.

Lucas provided corporate finance advice to Oxford Computer group on this transaction and Bedford-Bell provided tax advice on a prior group restructuring and the MBO.

Neil Coughlan, managing director at Oxford Computer Group, commented: “We are grateful to the team at HMT for their exceptional support throughout the transaction. Mark, Holly and Peter provided invaluable advice and guidance during the process, and thanks to them we have been able to complete the deal smoothly and efficiently.”

Lucas commented: “We are delighted to have advised Neil and the rest of the management team at Oxford Computer Group on the MBO and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
