The award category recognises the outstanding charitable organisations in Oxfordshire making a real impact on local disadvantaged groups, whilst operating as a successful part of the county’s business community.

Following the launch of the 2020 Oxfordshire Business Awards (OXBA) earlier this month (9 January), Hartwell have been announced as the final award category sponsor at this year’s prestigious Oxfordshire Business Awards.

Established in 1919 in Oxfordshire, Hartwell PLC is a leading automotive group representing Ford car and commercial vehicles. In addition, they have a comprehensive stock of used vehicles for sale across ten locations throughout the UK. Hartwell dealerships also feature modern workshops, finance options and Motability services.

Hartwell will be sponsoring the Charity and Community Award at the 2020 awards – a category which aims to recognise the exceptional organisations with charitable aims that truly make a difference to communities in Oxfordshire.

The award was won last year by One-Eighty, a charity for young people with complex needs and behaviours who may otherwise be at risk of exclusion from school and mainstream society.

Natalie Kandralides – Marketing Manager at Hartwell – said: “Hartwell have had the privilege of being supported by our loyal Oxfordshire community for over 100 years – by sponsoring the charity and community award, we look forward to recognising the companies who go above and beyond to have a positive influence on our locals.”

Paul Lowe – Chair of the OXBA – said: “I am delighted to welcome Hartwell to the Sponsors’ group. They’re a company that is known to many within the County and I hope that this well help to continue to endorse their brand within the Oxfordshire community.”

This year’s awards see the announcement of four new sponsors including Hartwell, with Royds Withy King sponsoring the Small Business Award, Ridge and Partners LLP sponsoring the Business of the Year Award and Business & Innovation Magazine becoming the official media partner for the awards.

The Oxfordshire Business Awards takes place on Friday 12 June at the John Henry Brookes Building at Oxford Brookes University.  For a full list of award categories and to enter for an award, go to: www.oxfordshirebusinessawards.co.uk

For over 25 years, the Oxfordshire Business Awards (OXBA) has been recognising, rewarding and promoting the excellence of Oxfordshire-based companies. Organised and supported by some of the county’s leading organisations, the awards are firmly established as a benchmark for excellence in today’s competitive business environment.
