Well-known immigration specialist Simon Kenny has been appointed by Hampshire-based Moore Blatch as a senior solicitor to launch its new immigration service.
Kenny has over 20 years' experience advising both companies and individuals on immigration matters and is a former manager of global immigration at Mazars LLP. He has also worked as a legal adviser to the Home Office and has an excellent understanding of the decision-making process behind UK immigration.
Initially Kenny will work closely with Moore Blatch partner Tim Spring to establish the new department which will focus on assisting companies seeking to sponsor employees from overseas; applications from individuals wanting to live and invest in the UK; and those making individual immigration applications, which will also include post-graduate students keen to establish businesses in the UK.
He will be available to clients across all of the firm’s offices including the City, Richmond, Southampton, Whiteley and Lymington, working with other departments in the firm to offer a multi-disciplinary service, as well as advising existing clients on immigration issues.
Spring commented: “Simon’s unique blend of skills and experience make him a great asset to the firm and its ambitions to grow in this area of work. We are very pleased that he has agreed to join us and believe that clients will greatly benefit from his insight into the immigration process."
Commenting on his new post, Kenny said: “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for me and comes at a time when immigration and investment in the UK is continuing to rise. I am looking forward to developing this area of service and working with other members of staff to identify opportunities for new work.”
